The region of the Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta, located in Botswana, is a stunning natural marvel renowned for its exceptional biodiversity. Originating from Angola's highlands, the Okavango River floods the delta annually, creating a network of channels, lagoons, and islands. What sets it apart is its status as the world's largest inland delta, a rarity in itself.
This unique ecosystem supports a plethora of wildlife, including rare and endangered species like the African wild dog and the sitatunga antelope. Visitors can explore its pristine wilderness through safaris, mokoro rides, and guided walks, immersing themselves in one of Africa's most captivating and distinctive landscapes.
