Arrival and orientation in Zimbabwe

Your journey begins with your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport. From here, a light aircraft takes you over stunning savannah landscapes to the Libuti Airstrip.

You’ll meet your small group and travel together to the secluded Jozibanini Camp. As you leave roads and reception behind, the immersion into the wild begins. This is a true arrival – no distractions, just nature.

»Hwange is not just a park – it’s a heartbeat of wilderness. Here, nature still writes the rules, and if you listen closely, you can hear the land telling its story.«
- Ian Harmer, Zimbabwean wildlife guide and conservationist

Accommodation and board during the Wilderness Experience

Jozibanini Camp is a wild, welcoming, and wonderfully remote destination. Built on raised platforms with views over a waterhole, each tent offers comfort without excess.

Expect solar power, mosquito nets, private bathrooms and open-air experiences – including the chance to sleep under the stars. Meals are shared in the heart of camp: the open-air dining area. It’s here that stories are told, knowledge is shared, and friendships form.

Leisure time in Hwange National Park

Even leisure feels intentional here: There’s no Wi-Fi to distract you, just the opportunity to slow down and soak in your surroundings.

Take time for journaling, stargazing, or simply sitting quietly as elephants gather nearby. The rhythms of the bush become your own – steady, natural, and free.

Step into the heart of the wilderness with Natucate!

The region of Hwange National Park

Hwange is one of Africa’s most species-rich reserves – home to over 400 bird species and iconic wildlife like elephants, lions, cheetahs and wild dogs.

The southern part of the park, where this journey takes place, is particularly remote and rarely visited. This means fewer vehicles, more authentic encounters, and landscapes that still feel truly wild. It’s a sanctuary for both animals and humans seeking something real.
